Synopsis
Hosted and facilitated by Ghetto Film School London's (GFS LDN) operation, in collaboration with Oxford Brookes University, Oxford University Film Foundation and Film Oxford.
GFS is an award-winning global organisation with a proven history of educating, developing and celebrating the next generation of great storytellers - GFS LDN's operation focuses on supporting the Writers, Directors, Producers and Showrunners of tomorrow with 65% of their student/alumni population identifying as women. By hosting this unique showcase event, GFS LDN will celebrate and nurture new talent, providing case studies into how to make a film, and platforming the work of emerging student filmmakers from Oxford, London, and beyond.
The Talent Showcase will include special preview screenings of new works including an international short film shot on location in Vancouver, with the filmmakers providing commentary on that experience and how their artistry has developed over time. The session will include tips and tricks from leading industry practitioners, including how to develop story ideas, troubleshoot problems, and create budgets and festival strategies.
The session is aimed at emerging talent in the creative and media arts, students, and those with an interest in filmmaking and digital content development.
