Synopsis
"Work with members of the brilliant cast & crew from our Summer Musical: Jesus Christ Superstar!
Across 3 days we are offering 6 workshops that cover a wide range of on and off-stage skills, for young people aged 12 - 18.
Each workshop includes a backstage tour of the Watermill and a free ticket for the evening performance of the production, followed by a Q&A!
You can book for just one workshop each day, but we encourage you to book for both workshops per day. At this stage, you are only able to book for one of the three days. Please note, bookings for multiple days will have one or two cancelled.
24th July
Movement: Explore how we can use our bodies to create dance & physical theatre moments, and discover how this is applied within the production, with two of our Ensemble cast members.
Lighting: This session will cover the basics of lighting design and explore the creative choices for Jesus Chirst Superstar. You will work with the Lighting Team from the production, who will give you first-hand insights into the process, looking at the theatre's lighting rig.
7th August
Singing & Actor-Musicianship: Learn the techniques behind Actor-Musicianship, and how to develop your singing skills with two of our cast members.
Stage Management: See what goes on behind the stage of a performance (and its rehearsals) with the productions' Stage Management Team, including managing props, running a show, and much more.
19th August
Acting: Work with some of our cast members to delve into the process behind how they create their characters & performances as they teach essential acting skills.
Directing: With the production's Assistant Director, learn how to approach bringing a script to life, directing scenes and creating a piece on the scale of Jesus Christ Superstar.
Once you have booked, you will recieve an information form, that includes questions about how to book your free ticket for the evening performance.
