Synopsis

Meet Sara Wesker, trade unionist and radical, who led the “singing strikers of 1928”, fought at the Battle of Cable Street, inspired one of our most famous playwrights and had a scandalous, high profile love affair. Did her love of the cause cost her the love of her life? And was it worth it? This 5-star reviewed, Off Fest nominated play, which features some of the songs sung on Sara’s picket lines has sold out in New York, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and in theatres across the UK. Pay What You Decide Book your tickets in advance for free, with no obligation for you to pay until after you have seen the performance. You can then decide on a price which you think is suitable based on your experience. At the end of the show, our Stewards will be on the door as you leave to take payments via cash or card. All money collected will help The Courtyard pay the artists who have performed, and we therefore hope you will give generously. Please ensure you arrive and collect your tickets 15 minutes prior to the show starting.
