Synopsis

Orchestra Pro Anima directed from the violin by Michael Bochmann MBE play Vivaldi, Purcell, Mozart, Elgar and more in Malvern in a concert entitled Mellow Strings in Late Autumn Sunday 30 November 2025 at 3pm Christ Church, Avenue Road, Malvern WR14 3AY Violin soloists: Michael Bochmann. George Ewart and Angus Gibbon On Sunday 30 November at 3pm, Orchestra Pro Anima, directed by Michael Bochmann, will give another in their popular series of string orchestra concerts at Christ Church, Avenue Road, Malvern. As usual, the Orchestra will play a varied programme of music from the Baroque period through to the early 20th Century, with works by Vivaldi, Purcell, Mozart, Elgar, Grieg and Holst. The full programme is: Vivaldi Concerto for two violins in A minor RV522 Purcell Chaconne Mozart Violin Concerto in G major K216 Elgar Serenade for Strings Op 20 Grieg Two Elegiac Melodies Holst St Paul’s Suite These fine musicians have played together over a long period of time and their affinity with one another, coupled with the welcoming atmosphere of Christ Church, will surely make for a memorable afternoon of music-making. Tickets £20 and £15 (students half price, children aged 10 and under free)
