Synopsis

In a villa on a private island, a young Artist in Residence (Oyinka Yuseff) awaits her patron, Billionaire Art Collector (Jon Horrocks). He arrives, accompanied by his Dealer (Alan Drake); his Second Wife (Naomi Bowman); the Curator of a national museum (Jeremy Vinogradov); and a priceless masterpiece. When the picture vanishes, who is the culprit - and why? Private View is a whodunnit where the painting is the victim and Art is a casualty. Marc Blake is an award-winning writer whose novels include Sunstroke, Bigtime and Axman. He has also written for television (The Swap, ITV), and radio (Whining for England, BBC R4). His theatre work includes Area 52 (Tristan Bates), which he wrote and directed. Oyinka Yusuff has starred in We are People Too (Arcola) and Humans (C4). Alan Drake has had lead roles in West End productions including The Railway Children and To Kill a Mockingbird. Love Art or hate Art, this play is for you.
