Writers’ Card: Career Surgeries (in-person)

Synopsis

Fancy a free coffee and a chat? We’re here for you. We know avenues for independent and freelance writers seeking guidance can be limited, and the challenges for those developing creative careers can feel overwhelming. So, we’re here to help talk it out with regular, light-touch career surgeries for Writers’ Card Members. Once a month on a Monday afternoon, we’ll offer up the expertise of the Royal Court’s staff team to discuss anything that’s on your mind. Primarily hosted in our Bar & Kitchen – with tea and coffee on us – we’ll also offer zoom options for those who can’t make it in person. Topics could include career trajectories, finding opportunities, producing and marketing your own work, accessing funding and support, goat herding, telekinesis, and more - anything where a 20-minute chat might genuinely help or be a useful sounding-board. And from time to time, we’ll offer special sessions dedicated to key areas of expertise. Slots are available for Members only, in-person at the Royal Court Bar & Kitchen, or via Zoom. Places are first-come, first-served and the booking portal will open two weeks in advance of each surgery date.
